Booster Gold - Friends

Booster Gold and Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) were the best of friends. I loved their friendship. They were always present for each other. I would be lost without my “Good Judys”. Without friends it is difficult maneuver through this chaotic world.

Friends

“I’d hate to have to face life without my best buddy around. Who’d I steal jokes from?” - Booster Gold *

Everyone needs a friend, even superheroes.  Friends can help carry a burden or lighten a stressful situation. One of the most popular superhero friendships is Booster Gold and the Blue Beetle. One is never far from the other. Michael Jon Carter from the 30th Century wanted to make a name for him in the past. So, Michael borrowed time traveling technology, a suit that gives him a force field, power blast, and limited super strength, and a ring that allows flight. Upon arriving to the 20th Century Michael became Booster Gold. After joining the Justice League of America, Booster met Beetle and the two have been inseparable.

With whom can we find adventure, community, and our heart’s desire? Who will help us get to know ourselves, help us adjust our attitudes and laugh with us? What kind people offer gifts, charity, lessons and changes?  Who has the nerve to give judgments? Who are steadfast in our lives? Only those people we call friends. Friends can lift the burdened from our shoulders. We can be free for just a moment and laugh with our friends. Sharing with a friend daily will change the world in unimaginable and super-heroic ways.
