Quasar - Anger
I get angry – I know, it’s hard to believe. When I get angry it is best to separate myself from the situation. I seek a place to be quiet and calm. Sometimes I’ll hop on the bike for a ride or I’ll even go for a walk. Things that make me angry are rudeness, bullies, closed-mindedness and lack of empathy toward others. These are all things I’ve dealt with in my past. When I see these sign-posts, I know it is time to either stand-up and let my voice be heard or time to step away and gain my composure to return with a new and fresh attitude. I have learned how to stand-up for myself without lashing out or stressing out. It does take practice.
Anger
“Your anger is understandable – but save it until after this battle is won.” - Quasar (Wendell Elvis Vaughn) *
S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic, Hazard Intervention, and Espionage Logistics Directorate) acquired the Quantum Bands. These bands give the wearer great cosmic energy to wield. Nerdy and weak S.H.I. E.L.D Agent, Wendell Elvis Vaughn, witnessed several of his fellows S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents perish as they tested the bands. When villains attacked the facility, Wendell donned the Quantum Bands and rescued his fellows. Feeling his energy growing and an imminent explosion approaching Wendell flew into outer space to protect the area. As he flew he knew he was going to die. He made his peace. Wendell decided to follow the spiritual path in front of him. The energy dissipated and Wendell realized that an indomitable will could never wear the bands. The Quantum Bands needed a wearer of flexibility, peace and balance. The hero Quasar, Wendell Elvis Vaughn, became one of Earth’s mightiest heroes.
Have you ever watched Muhammad Ali fight? Ali fought strong with powerful punches. His moves were very much in balance with his mind and spirit but also with his opponent. However, one thing Ali never did was get angry during a match – he kept his anger in check. His fighting was about balance, gracefulness and thought. The fighting is about physical emotional and spiritual health. The winning was about becoming better and proving he was in peak health. Anger can become an issue when we have a project or a job to complete. We do not think clearly when we are angry – we waste energy. We say things we don’t mean. Our hearts beat faster causing us to tire more easily. Then we become too focused and forget the “big picture”. Anger is an emotion; it is a signpost on the path. It is NOT a way of life. Feel the anger, admit the anger and move on the journey. Muhammad Ali said, “Champions aren´t made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them - a desire, a dream, a vision.”
