Wonder Woman - The Unknown

One of my favorite shows growing up was the Super Friends. Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Batman and Superman saving the world and teaching life lessons along the way. One thing I learned from the Super Friends was acceptance of all people. That is an importance lesson. Looking back I can see that hate is fear of the unknown.

The Unknown

“My dear Miss Lean the unknown will remain unknown unless we make it our business to understand it.” - Wonder Woman*

She is Beautiful as Aphrodite, Wise as Athena, Strong as Hercules and Swifter than Mercury. She is the Princess of Paradise, the Amazing Amazon, Diana, Wonder Woman. The Amazons of Themyscira (Paradise Island) teach peace through perfection of mind, body and spirit, but to have peace one must prepare for war. All the amazons ask is to have an open mind, an open heart, and to seek perfection. Diana is beautiful, wise, strong, and swift; she offers the hand of peace and comfort to all. Diana is unafraid of the unknown.

We always have a choice – we can understand it or let it lie. We do however have to make the choice. We can put it terms of Balance (physical, spiritual and emotional). When health is involved understanding the unknown is important. Is it important to understand why the universe spins around? Do we really have to understand why that stranger on the bus is dressed differently? Sometimes it is fun however to experiment and learn new things. A little experimentation is all is needed to change a day or create a new outlook. Learning how to separate egg whites and yolks with a plastic bottle can be fun. Speaking to that differently dressed stranger on the bus might be a learning moment that will start a whole new path of enlightenment.
